Illustration of the sonnet "Losing Myself" by David Röger.
Losing myself
Langsam vergeht die Zeit
Leere Zeilen auf Papier
Zarte Töne vom Klavier
Zusammen Richtung Einsamkeit
Du und ich geteiltes Leid
Getrieben von maßloser Gier
Ganz ehrlich, was schuld ich dir
Ist es noch weit ?
In meiner Nase ein lieblicher Duft
Grün flimmert der Schimmel
Auf deiner verbitterten Gestalt
Blau wie der Himmel
Erstick ich an klarer Luft
Dabei bin ich schon lange kalt
Von David Röger
In my interpretation of the sonnet the thoughts of a petrified hermit encircles him in form of his shadodw, building a sunclock.
In the creation, it was important to me to get the cardinal direction right without telling it directly. The growth of moss and mold and the position of the sun in combination with the daytime give some hints. The view is guided by the shadow in north direction as a symbol for the cold lonely journey in the sonnet.
Fata Morgana from the book "Jim Knopf" by Michael Ende
Capturing the absurdity of the Fata Morgana with Inspiration from Dalís surreal painting "The Temptation of St. Anthony".
Chill and relaxed Jazz Bison, playing every night at the pub with his band. He likes Molli, the cute girl at the bar but he is to shy to speak to her. After his gig he goes to his one-room flat and eats 3 tins of corn. Sometimes he is lonely. But then all the more he is looking forward to play the e-Piano again.
